We are a small team of planners, listeners, and logistics people. Most of us came to this work because we did it first for our own families.
Golden Age Mining Group, LLC was registered in the State of Georgia on April 12, 2017. The name is older than the company — it comes from a phrase Mica's grandmother used about retirement: "you have to mine your golden years for everything they're worth." The "Mining Group" stuck. The DBA, Golden Age Concierge, came two years later when families kept asking us "what do you actually call what you do?"
Today, nine years in, we serve a few hundred families across the Southeastern United States. We are deliberately small. Every member knows their planner by name and by mobile number.
A second-generation Savannahian, a stubbornly practical optimist, and the reason this company exists.
Mica grew up on the west side of Savannah and spent fifteen years in hospitality operations at properties in Charleston, Asheville, and the Lowcountry before returning home in 2014 to help her aunt sort out a complicated move into assisted living. What she expected to be a six-week project turned into two years of phone calls, spreadsheets, hospital visits, and the slow, dawning realization that nobody was offering this kind of help — at least not in a way a regular family could afford or trust.
She founded Golden Age in April 2017 with one client and a Google Voice number. The phone is still hers. She still answers it.
Mica lives in Pooler with her husband, two teenagers, and a deeply unserious golden retriever named Biscuit. When she is not in the office she is usually walking Tybee Beach with the second-oldest member of the company.
Started the firm in 2017. Still personally onboards every new member.

Former cruise-line excursions manager. Has personally vetted 100+ tour operators.

Two-hundred-plus active members, four full-time staff, one office on East Bay, and a long waitlist we are slowly, carefully working through.
The discovery call is free, friendly, and completely commitment-free. We'll be honest with you either way.
